BenQ V2400 Eco Review
Design of V2400 Eco
This monitor of BenQ V2400 Eco is 23inch and the chassis, power and VGA card are all white in color. The width of this monitor is 0.8in, thus the entire width of the panel turns out to be 23.8inches. The depth of the display is 0.75in which is of considerable thickness but when compared to other monitors in market which has 0.5in thickness, and then this is quite thick. This monitor screen has a matte bezel finish and the stand which supports the monitor is of 4in height. The base plunk has a dimension of 7.1in depth and 11.8in width.
In spite of having this much width, the monitor wobbles when pushed with considerable strength but the danger of toppling is less because of wide base and short foot stand. From the desktop, the bottom of the display screen is above 3.75in. The height of the screen can't be adjusted and also pivoting or rotation of the screen can't be done when it is in portrait mode. The tilting of the screen can be done only 20 degrees to the back and this is an included ergonomic feature. A round pocket like structure can be found on top of the foot stand which is almost like a cup receptacle.
Features of V2400 Eco
The video connection option is limited to HDMI and VGA and BenQ has given only VGA cable connection with this monitor. At the right back side of the monitor is the place for these connections and thus it's easy to access. There is no obstruction by the foot stand anywhere at the neck, so the connections can be done easily. At the panel's left side, is the jack to insert the headphone. At the right edge of the panel is the strip of display buttons and along with that are the vertically united 5 buttons. Those 5 buttons are: up and down button, Menu button, Auto button and an Enter button.
A simple smooth touch is enough to identify those buttons because there is a small knot on each button. Brightness, color options and contrasts are engrossed in the Menu option button. RGB values can also be changed individually with a change in color temperature. 6 presets are included in OSD, they are: Game, Movie, Eco, SRGB, Standard and Photo. The navigation of the interface is not that much intuitive when compared to other company monitors. The aspect ratio of this monitor is 16:9 which supports the 'Full HD' and has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
